Whatstheword91737478292Ya knowThe amount of “ya know”s os just too much
-
Pod SwirlyKind CriticismLove this couple and the premise of this podcast. However, I really hope they take these reviews to heart and work on their interview skills. Producers, please talk to them about this!! I am not a harsh critic, but couldn't finish the episode with Whitney because of the use of "ya know." I think this type of media leaves little room for the overuse of filler words because most of us are listening while doing mindless tasks, driving, etc. I found myself cringing the whole time I listened.
-
meesh___You Know? The only episode I’ve listened to is the Whitney one and I could not help but notice the amount of “you know” moments. I would love for Tay and Taylor to work on their interview skills and questions. Not really interested in listening to more episodes because the lack of interview skills was too distracting.
-
Pollyanna and gerdiePoor interview skillsI think this show is only known because of famous hosts/guests. As many others verbalized the amount of “ya knows” stated throughout the Whitney episode was painful. They seemed like they had not prepared their questions and were trying to figure out what they were going to ask after they started talking.
-
Terabytes171626262Ya know? This podcast is hard to listen to. So many ya knows? Ya know?
-
Celeste_g1981NextI really enjoy listening to this pod cast but mrs Taylor says “like” “uhh” “yea” “you know” at least a million times during the episodes and it really annoys me I have to change what I’m listening too.. to have a pod cast but can’t speak is really hard to continue to listen too
-
DalilaPiquePlease take speech classesThe amount of “you knows” uttered in the Whitney Leavitt was so hard to get through. Seriously, it took me a week and a half to get through it.
-
MarintheUSAUnbearable amount of “you know”A podcaster needs to be able to get their point across clearly and ask clear concise questions during interviews. The host is constantly tripping over “you know” and “like” to the point it’s unbearable. I’m a millennial woman, I understand filler words aren’t all bad but when it’s every 3 words it’s so grating! The host can’t even ask a straightforward question which is bizarre because don’t you have some written down going into an interview?? The way the host speaks is like when the professor calls on you and you haven’t been paying attention so you have to put together some word salad answer.
-
gracey00004Um it’s been hard to ya know, listenI um love the premise of um this podcast and ya know, some of the first episodes um I really enjoyed. BUT um ya know, it’s um been a little bit ya know, hard to um listen to um ya know, here lately. If you catch my drift? Ya know?
-
grb219519Ya know?Normally I can get over people’s verbal fillers but the girls use of “ya know?” Every other word made it hard to listen to. I think the concept of the content is great, just hard to digest.
-
shhkarwitSo so badHow are you even podcast hosts? ZERO personality and zero questions for your guests?? What on earth happened
-
lushdeezGood show but needs editingJust started listening because of the Whitney episode. Girl Tayler says “you know” so much, which is totally fine but Dear Media producers need to edit them out. AI can do this with 1 click of a button now.

EllenG99Genuine and AuthenticThis is a unique podcast in how the hosts approach and handle their discussions. It’s gentle, kind, probing, serious, and thoughtful. Also fwiw I didn’t even notice any “you knows” or “likes.” It’s a real conversation. Also, policing how often/when someone uses “filler words” is heavily rooted in sexism. Anyway, great job hosts, keep it up!
-
smeddd5Filler WordsWould be better is host stops using filler words ever 3 words, “You know”
-
ChelseyCoYou know?I was initially excited to hear Whitney’s episode. However, I eventually had to stop listening due to the Tay’s excessive use of filler words, particularly 'you know.' It became increasingly frustrating as the phrase was repeated multiple times in almost every sentence, which made it difficult to stay focused on the actual content. While the topics were interesting, the host's speaking style became too distracting to enjoy the episodes fully. Unfortunately, this issue detracted from what could have been a great podcast.
-
danyldanysHard to listenI think there may have been some apprehension about bringing a guest onto the show. Interviewer should have been better prepared and given talking notes to help carry the conversation. Saying “you know” every other sentence makes it seem like she was beating around the bush from a direct question. Maybe she thought it could have come off harsh or like she was forcing her opinion and misconceptions. It was very awkward. This interview could have been half the time.
-
Hobbes ParrottNew listenerYou guys have nice chemistry, and there is a kindness about you both. However, the interviewing needs to improve. There are classes you can take to get help on this. Simple things.. saying “like, uhm, literally” as fillers is very distraction. Work on your transitioning to question-listening-responding-next question. Keep up the hard work!
-
ORIGINAL GIRL!Need more TWI love when you put a trigger warning very helpful. Love you guys
-
city sportsYa knowHow do you become a podcast host when you don’t even know how to speak without filler words? Ya know?
-
Deidre42You know? ..you know. You? NO !!Ugh.. this was a BRUTAL listen. It’s like people talking to each other that don’t know what to say??? 0 personality with the hosts. I had never even heard of this podcast.. and will honestly never listen again. & if you don’t know.. now - YOU KNOW !!
-
Lizzzzz93Tough listenListed to the Whitney episode and it was painful to get through. Girl Tay was struggling with the interview and continued to use “umm” and “you know” throughout. I really wish I liked it more as I am a huge fan of the launters on Instagram!
-
You Know X 100“You know”Please please please stop saying “you know” after every statement you make. It was really hard to stay engaged with the lack of communication skills on the host’s part.
-
LB.M.FYou lost me.I enjoyed the podcast the first few months but now it feels more like listening in to famous people meeting up for the first time and trying to make friends than it does a mental health podcast. As someone who doesn’t watch much tv at all, I don’t know who 95% of the guests on the show are and I’m going into it completely blind. Half of the episodes are spent talking about whatever reality show the guest was on and not mental health related at all. I started following the show because it felt like a refreshing open conversation about mental health and the struggles that come with it but I’m no longer following because I’m annoyed by the lack of mental health conversation and the tv gossip that fills the episodes.
-
paigeleiatauaCan’t stand the repetitive filler wordsI had to turn it off due to the amount of times (female) Taylor says “umm” and “ya know”. It was painful. It’s a podcast, so being aware of those types of things is crucial for it to be an enjoyable listen.
-
Brittany_joe“You know” “umm”The topics and guests are interesting, I’d love to keep listening but it’s hard to get through the hosts. The number of “you knows” per episode is wild.
-
Char-loveYou kno!?Tyler seems well spoken, but his female cohost says, “like” and “you kno” consistently. Hard to listen, you kno?
-
quincymate“you know”cannot listen to tay say “you know” between every half sentence any longer
-
Brooklyn33You know?I came to this podcast to hear Whitney Levitts side of her story and it’s pretty hard to get through when every other second Tay just says you know you know you know you know you know she maybe said it 1000 times other than that great job great interview
-
SoFlo BYou knowGreat guests, good convos, but the overuse of the phrase “you know” kills it for me. I invite you to do a “you know” count per episode. Insane. Please no filler words (you know, like). Thank you.
-
gobucks1770Filler wordsGirl Taylor says “like” or “you know” every other week
-
rachelr121218Not my favoriteTaylor saying “you know” as often as she does is so distracting.
-
Stellab2008WhitneyI really enjoyed the podcast with Whitney to hear her side but could not get past the amount of times “you know “ was used as a filler word .
-
lgcantonPlease work on your vocabularyI have never in my entire life heard so many ‘you knows’ and ‘umm’s’. So bad that I couldn’t even follow the questions that were trying to be asked. It was like Tay didn’t even know what she was asking and was going in circle’s of ‘you know’s’. Please for the sake of your audience, and maybe for the existence of the hour podcast WORK ON THIS!! Just pause, leave space, or use other words ‘for example’, etc. please!!! 🙏🏼 My two star is for this. I don’t think I could even listen to another one but really wanted to hear Whitney.

Buddy The Other Elf 2SoldFinally, a pop culture podcast that has actual good interviewers! Say it ain’t so! Came here for whitney, staying as a new listener.
-
KellylkaneBackgroundLove the podcast but a background in the guest would help before you start the interview.

Barber.AnnaCan’t recommend enoughThe Squeeze is hosted by 2 incredibly intentional people who are using their platform to give voices to others who deserve to be heard. The variety in guests is incredibly refreshing and I leave every single episode having learned something. I love hearing the thought and care that goes into every question and are tailored for all guests. I cannot stop recommending this show to everyone who will listen.

turtllgurllLove thisThese two are adorable and doing great work with this podcast. Discussions surrounding mental health are approached with compassion and understanding. It’s soothing, a safe space, and just all around a kind and thoughtful podcast about healing. You feel like you are with friends.
-
Shells lifeLoveI absolutely love being a Lemon Drop. This is my favorite podcast. Tay and Taylor make you feel like you are sitting in a room chatting with them. I love that they focus on mental health which is so important to me. I love the wide range of guests that they have. While also being serious they also mix in some fun.

ahm0211Lemon drops 🍋I never really saw myself listening to podcasts because I thought I would lose focus or get distracted. Don’t say you won’t until you give it a try. This podcast is very motivating and touching! I started from the very first podcast, and am still listening! Boy Tay, huge fan!! I was also born on Feb.11, #teamAquarius, #teamjacob Girl Tay, you are wonderful! I found your story of starting the podcast to be very inspiring. It seems like we all go through storms in life but somehow end up finding our purpose. And you have found yours! It takes a lot of courage to be able to talk about things, but you’re sharing your story to others! I went through a bit of a storm, when losing my job over a silly reason. I’d like to say that, “things happen for a reason”. Thank you both for doing this amazing podcast! I have been sharing with my friends and family 🤍

TanyaLHoffAlways LearningAs the Mom of a paramedic, I so appreciate this podcast. The things my daughter has already seen in her first two years as a paramedic makes me worry about her mental health in the future. This podcast has taught me the signs to watch for which helps ease my mind. Thank you so much Tay and Taylor!
-
Kim Smith123WowWow. I just started listening to this podcast recently, but the amount of meaningful advice that has come from some of their interviews (Dr. Amen, Stacy Chapin) is so valuable and makes this podcast really unique and special.
-
Dawnieb95Allison HolkerThank you for having Allison on the pod. Also, thank you for shedding light on mental health and being so open with discussing it. I have struggled with mental health off and on for nearly 20 years. More people are talking about this topic, but there still is such a stigma. Once again, thank you.
-
chamilton664Excellent Real Life Content!!!Very interesting topics & guests- easy listening as they share thoughts with guests as well as personal relevant experiences. Love both guest episodes & personal couple discussions.
-

LDisherEnjoyable!Love y’all’s podcast! Just started listening and appreciate the vulnerability and unique way of approaching the mental health conversation. On another note its awesome hearing the love and respect you have for each other! This podcast is a great listen and a must follow!
-
tayloraskinnerInspiringI love listening to the both of you about ways to better your mental health. I love that you have other people that have struggled in their life’s come on and share ways that helped them cope. I just had to get what they call a total hysterectomy( but they left my ovaries intact). I have one handsome 7 year old! I was trying to be strong all the way up to my surgery last week. It just hit me like a ton of bricks. My body was telling me that I’m done having kids. I had fibroids in my uterus that were causing a lot of health issues and I’m only 33. I like to listen to your podcasts and I love seeing you post about ways to help with mental health. They’ve helped me in more ways then one! Thank you for what you both do. You’re touching a lot of people’s lives. God bless you both. 🫶🏼

chattyfan“Like”Wonderful conversations. However, the overuse of the word “like” is super annoying. Sometimes, I stop listening because it’s very distracting. That said, Taylor and Taylor are so kind, sensitive and engaging with their guests.
-
Irishbull81Wow. Just wow.I’ve been listening for a few months after finding this podcast. Can’t even remember what got me to it, but I’m so thankful I found it. Taylor and Taylor are two of my favorite people after listing to these wonderful and amazing interviews. People open up and just pour out their hearts. T&T provide a safe space for all and to walls come down. I decided to review because it has meant so much to me as I struggle with my own health. Mental health is absolutely the most important thing to focus on. Thank you so much Taylor and Taylor. You are making a huge difference in this world doing what you do. I love your podcast and I hope you continue for a very long time.
