Home baker inspired to bake more!
I am a home baker and have been trying to bake more this year. I have loved hearing the stories of the bakers on the show and hearing about the process of their favorite bakes! It has inspired me to bake more and learn more about baking in general!

    I learn so much!
I’m an experienced baker, and I thoroughly enjoy this podcast. I’ve picked up fantastic tips! I thought I knew all you needed to know about fruit pies, but Claire Saffitz taught me important stuff I was missing. I’m excited to visit bakeries I learned about from this series. Jessie is a fantastic interviewer. She’s clearly done a bunch of research, and makes sure to address issues important to home bakers. I also appreciate being able to try the recipes myself (empanadas next!)

    Unsubscribed
I have waited to write this as it feels so hard to criticize a brand that I love but I had to unsubscribe. While the guests are always great, I really don’t enjoy the host constantly saying, ‘hi peeps’. She also comes off so silly in her interviews. It’s unnecessary and I don’t feel that she is well suited for podcasts. Julia Turshen was amazing and Kerry Diamond has done a wonderful job after her. She’s my Cherry Pie is not up to the standard I would expect. A different host would make a big improvement.

Late to this party and now won’t leave!
I’ve been loving this podcast since stumbling upon it just two months ago, and now I’m getting sad that I have binged through almost all of the past episodes. Keep the great stuff coming, Jessie! I love your sparkling personality and your masterful interview style with the wonderful guests you bring to the table. I am learning so much from this podcast and just plain having fun listening. Thank you — and your entire team — for all your hard work and creativity in bringing us this gem! PS: I would love to hear an episode in which someone interviews you, Jessie, about your latest book.

Perfect blend of conversation and baking techniques
I love this podcast, it’s the perfect balance of conversation with bakers and technical baking tips. I particularly love hearing about tips and tricks the bakers use in the restaurant setting and the stories behind how they have developed the recipes. Another great cherry bombe podcast!!

    Stop saying PEEPS
I love love love the podcast but you’re so annoying with your “tell the peeps this, tell the peeps that” it absolutely does not sound natural. STOP!

Must listen to for any baker!!
I recently started to listen to this podcast and have learned so many tips and tricks on how to better my bake goods. I’m a home-baker making desserts just for family but would eventually love to expand to a full business. I’d like to request a podcast with someone who makes cookies (as that’s my go to for baking) and also maybe any entrepreneurs who can guide an aspiring baker on how to grow their business from home. Thank you for the amazing guests! I love your show🩷

So much fun! Can we make requests? Would love interviews with bakers on snickerdoodles, carrot cake, and anything rhubarb. Thank you for a great show!

    Love love love this podcast
I have thoroughly enjoyed listening to all the episodes so far! I love hearing from bomb female bakers across the country and hearing their stories. I also love all the detailed questions Jessie asks about different products. I would love to have Jessie interview Sally Mckenney from Sally’s Baking Addiction!
  • kennypod
    Love the detailed questions
I appreciate all the detailed questions that Jessie asks the bakers.

    Nerd Alert! Bakers Delight
I don’t even consider myself a baker, but I’m obsessed with this newish podcast. Cherry Bombe Radio has birthed another gem. Jessie is a well researched interviewer and gets deep into the nerdy details of baking with her guests. For instance, how does Zöe make her vanilla extract?! The differences between instance yeast and dry yeast…I didn’t realize I had the vocab to be up on these fine minutia but if that’s your (cherry) jam, then get in on this pod. It’s so great! 🍒💣

    I LOVE THIS PODCAST!!!
I found She’s My Cherry Pie randomly and have quickly listened to all of the episode. Jesse S asks all the detail questions I would - I get some much info from these podcasts that I have listened to many of them twice!!! Keep it going Jesse. This is the BEST! Jesse…you’re MY cherry pie!!!
  • Beege77
    All the details!
I’ve listened from the beginning and have absolutely loved this podcast! As a home baker, I love to hear all the details about the different flours, sugars, butters, etc and to hear the preferences & the whys behind those preferences. It would be great if there was a corresponding note or website to look at all the recommended products that come up. I had never heard of Great Jones baking sheets but they are stunning and going on the Christmas list! Keep up the great work, Jessie!
  • Thom Forke
Jessie is the Terry Gross of the Baking World
I’ve been listening since week one and have really come to adore the show. The guests are always great and the questions Jessie asks are so specific and dig into the minutiae of baking that specific thing…which is exactly what we need to hear. She really reminds of me Terry Gross from NPR’s Fresh Air. I’ve been excited to see who comes on each week, but if we are able to make requests, I’d love to hear from Margarita Manzke from Republique, Avery Ruzicka from Manresa Bread, or whoever the genius over at Layered Croissanterie is about their rotating monthly croissant offerings. Thanks for the great podcast. Keep it up!

The baking podcast I’ve been looking for
I’ve been searching for a good non-bread baking podcast for so long, and this has been exactly what I’ve been wanting!! Jessie is so knowledgeable and enthusiastic and insightful about the recipes she’s walking through with the guest, and also very knowledgeable about the guest’s work. This really allows for a super valuable conversation just chock full of great tips and tricks for better baking. It’s a great format, superstar guests, and the host and guests have great camaraderie (they all seem like they’ve previously met, so far that I’ve listened to). It really works. I’m so excited to finish the currently available episodes and for future releases! Please continue this podcast!! It really fills a niche.

    Fueling my baking addiction
Finally!! A podcast all about the ins and outs of baking! There’s so much to learn and I love listening to going in depth about recipes, techniques, and so much more.
  • Best new baking podcast
    My favorite new podcast!
This new Cherry Bombe podcast is such a delight to listen to, it has easily become my favorite new baking podcast! I love the format of taking a deep dive into one of the baker’s well known recipes and listen to them break it down. Jessie gets the answers to all the questions us baking obsessed people want to know. This podcast gets listeners an insider’s view on the creation of the recipe, a breakdown of all the techniques, tips and tricks, and favorite tools, equipment and ingredients. I look forward to each new episode! Would love to hear from some gluten free and vegan bakers as well.
  • Listener from NC
    A joy!
What a joy to listen to! It’s smart, informative, insightful, and entertaining. I appreciate the blend of technique and personal conversations with the bakers. I am an experienced baker and I have still found that I learn something with each episode. Thank you for this gem of a podcast!

How about a conversation about chocolate chip cookies to tell bakers how to make their cookies the way they want them - chewy, crispy, etc?

    Deep Dive
I could listen to this podcast every day. I love love love this format. It’s brilliant. I am an occasional baker and it usually isn’t until I’m in the middle of a recipe that I realize I have questions that the recipe doesn’t answer. This podcast is brilliant because Jessie Sheehan asks all of these questions and even asks questions I didn’t think could be a question. Thank you Kerry and Jessie, you both bring me so much joy when I listen. ❤️
  • hannahbk20
    The sweetest new podcast!!!
I am a home baker and I am always reading and trying to learn more about baking. I have always loved the Cherry Bomb podcast but Jessie’s podcast is such a beautiful addition to the podcast community because it is specific to baking. It is so fun to listen to others talk about baking the way that I do. I feel like I have so many new friends and I love hearing my baking hero’s be interviewed. Jessie Sheehan is a new friend to me and I love listening to her. Jessie is so knowledgeable but she asks questions in a way that is accessible to even a modest home baker. She always asks the questions I am wondering and I have started taking notes during the episodes. Jessie is also so so sweet. Her voice is kind and familiar. I just love listening to her. It feels like we are baking and enjoying a piece of cake and coffee together each week. Keep the episodes coming Jessie!! I feel so lucky to have found you!

If you like to bake you'll love this podcast
This is a great podcast. Jessie asks the best questions about every single phase of the recipe and elicits so much valuable information from her guests. How wonderful it would have been to hear Jessie interview Maida Heatter!

Love this podcast, Jessie is the best!
I’ve been a fan of Jessie for awhile now and she does such a great job as host! She’s knowledgeable, approachable and so funny and sweet. If you love to bake (haha even if you aren’t a great baker!) definitely tune in. It’s inspirational (it makes me wanna bake!) and also very relaxing and cathartic. (In today’s stressful world sometimes you just wanna unplug and listen to baking advice and stories!) Plus, her guests are amazing. Love love LOVE Joy the Baker!
  • LisaRG53

    My New Favorite Podcast, Peeps!
“She’s My Cherry Pie” is my new favorite podcast! Host Jessie Sheehan is an experienced baker, writer, and all-around baking nerd—in the vey best sense! Jessie cleverly asks all the questions about baking techniques, ingredients, and even cookbook and recipe writing that we want to know (and often wouldn’t even know to ask)! I loved the conversation with Claudia Fleming, and especially how Jessie researched all the little tweaks Claudia had made to some of her most iconic desserts in the “The Last Course” and then in her newest book, “Delectable.” The interview with Joy the Baker was equally fascinating: the Hersey’s Special Dark discussion and the tip to add whipped cream to buttercreams! I just love it all and can’t wait for more episodes! Highly recommended!

The BEST podcast for walkers and bakers!
I have so enjoyed listening to Jesse on Cherry Bombe. I was so excited to hear that she was getting her very own podcast! Her enthusiasm is infectious! She asks the best questions to her guest bakers! I can hardly wait for episode three! I will share this podcast with my sisters and friends, who also love to bake! Thank you, Jesse! You’re MY cherry pie!

    My #1 sweetest podcast!
From a life long love affair with baking, and 23 year veteran bakery owner on Maui, this podcast is my all time fav! Jessie is sweet, fun to listen to, and highly knowledgeable. Although I’m familiar with her guests so far, I love hearing their life stories and baking stories. I feel a sense of camaraderie while learning new tricks. In baking there are always new bits to learn, even in regards to the simplest of recipes, which personally are my fav. This podcast keeps it simple and well executed, just like the tastiest sweets!
  • TheToughCookie
    A Great Deep Dive
What a terrific interview. You really did your homework on these two recipes and it showed. I loved that you and Claudia really “split the atoms” with all the geeky detail you provided. As a retired professional baker, this is the type of content that I crave. Thanks so much for providing so much insight.
