I have loved listening to every single one of these stories. Each one points to how Jesus gives new life in Him and there is nothing like it. I so appreciate the boldness of those willing to share and I pray the Lord continues to bless them beyond anything they can imagine. I pray He uses every story to bring many to the saving knowledge of Him!

My family and I have been going through it for pretty much all our lives. Lately discouragement has set in like it never has before and we are just hanging on by a thread. This show is encouraging us to keep on hanging on! Thank you - keep it coming. We all need to hear of the hope others have to spur on our own.

The first season was so much better. The ads are overwhelming and causes a loss of interest, sadly. This was my favorite and now it’s just so many ads. Still great content.

Every story and personal struggle shared has encouraged my faith and has helped me to not feel so alone in my own story and struggles as a believer and follower of Jesus Christ. I have found myself weeping with Jesus, and laughing with him and loving him more and clinging to God’s nearness tighter than I have before. Thank you for this resource as a beacon of hope and for always pointing us back to Jesus, the only one who can turn my pain into something glorifying to Him! Nothing is wasted!

These stories are incredibly powerful. They are raw and real. We all wrestle with God at times, but too often that isn’t what we hear from people of faith… and we need to hear it! God is big enough and He is there for us.

I am finally getting the opportunity to listen to this podcast. The honest vulnerability through the sharing of these stories is moving and powerful. The experiences and emotions of the difficult moments are relatable. In a church world where typically our personal difficulties are suppressed and shamed, this podcast breaks through reaching the honest and real place of authenticity for believers.

A friend shared this podcast me; it’s so raw, unassuming and facilitates transparency about hard issues we face. It examines our depravity apart from our relationship with God (ragged, haggard and weary) and contrasts it to a life with Right relationship with God and His redemptive power to transform our messes, delusions and wrong thinking. This podcast is full of truth, grace, love, mercy, hope, conviction, redemption and being Gods work in progress. Really encouraged by the honesty and the examples of leaning into walking with Jesus in our messes.

Having lost my 3rd child in 2019, this podcast has really reminded me that I’m not alone in my struggle to see the goodness of God. There are so many moments when his faithfulness is so clear, but there are things I just don’t understand and doubt creeps in. Listening in on the episode about child loss, and others, has reminded me that I am in a community with people who love the Lord through and in their suffering. I am in good company of faithful saints. There is hope- we will overcome.

Normal people talking about an incredible God enabling them to walk thru life’s toughest moments. So encouraging and will lift your spirits and remind you that the God of the universe hasn’t left you in the darkest night of the soul. You should listen, now!

These are not polished stories of religious perfection, but honest stories of moving through pain and struggle and difficulty and trauma and healing and hope. So grateful for this podcast.

I’ve listened to 3 of the episodes so far and all I can say is wow!! I am so thankful for the families and individuals who have stepped out in faith to share their stories of trial, heartbreak, battling darkness, relying on their faith, trusting Jesus, and overcoming some of life’s most difficult circumstances. What a blessing these stories have been for me so far, and I pray that many others take the opportunity to listen to these, and are encouraged and uplifted by them in the process. This podcast has been phenomenal. Hearing the struggles and endurance of average people has been such an encouragement from the Lord. Every single episode is a personal reminder of God’s faithfulness, whether or not I’ve shared in the same struggles. I can’t recommend this enough!

This is an incredible look into how God continues to work in the lives of his children despite the brokenness of our world. What I love about this series is that I actually know 4 of these families/people- some better than others, but the outworking of continuing to trust God post grievous circumstance is a testament to God’s ability to hold fast to his children in very dark times. I highly recommend you give these stories a listen- it will be well worth your time.

Lots of pain in these interviews, but pain marinated in the hope Jesus gives.

Real stories of God’s power to bring individuals through intense struggles. One thing that encourages me deeply about these is that we get to hear from people in ministry and/or on church staff describe struggles that most might try to hide. There’s no pretense at all that those in ministry are immune or live on some other plane of human suffering and experience. These stories are raw and real, and as such, they bring hope and encouragement to all of us.

Planned on listening to one episode and before I knew it I was finished with 4 in a row. Thankful for those willing to share their stories and for Pastor Matt’s wisdom in the middle of it all. Definitely worth listening to!

I’ve been acquainted with some of the people in this Podcast and hearing their stories has held me in awe. I’ve been encouraged to lean into God during my own difficult situation as a result of God’s faithfulness to these brothers and sisters. In a world that constantly pays homage to negativity these conversations remind me, we are overcomers because He overcame. May He be honored.

Truly, I'm not sure if I have the right words to represent the goodness in these stories of hope. So powerful, so encouraging, so heartbreaking and gut-wrenching. Found myself mourning with those who were mourning and celebrating healing with those who found healing. Highly recommend.

Listened to all of this in one day! Love the idea of this podcast and would love more encouraging content! Real people sharing real stories and being honest about the human condition is something the church needs. Praise God for pastor Matt leading his local church in this direction.

What an AWESOME podcast to listen to and grow from. I always appreciate the wisdom from Pastor Matt. I listened to 3 of these podcasts today & each one made me think about things in my past that I haven’t 100% addressed. Including trauma, cancer, depression & anxiety. The people are raw & completely honest. I applaud everyone who has shared their very personal stories. You may not think you’re helping someone, but I will attest that you are & I thank you for that! Amen🙏🏼🙏🏼

This whole series has been encouraging to listen to. Some of these stories are really really hard. But to hear how the Lord has sustained and provided throughout has been such a good reminder.

Tears of sadness and pain have been running down my face over the past few days. I am worn out from battles that never stop and then this beautiful little podcast comes along. It does not dismiss the pain and struggle like most Christian messages do. Rather it digs deep into the pain and battle and encourages me, the listener, to keep leaning into God and to keep fighting forward. I am thankful to hear this today.

Thank you for sharing opening up this format and sharing more of the insight and wisdom God has given you. I truly cannot wait for this.
