If a poem was a room you could walk into, whose voices might you hear?
Red Room Poetry, Australia's leading organisation for commissioning, creating, publishing and promoting poetry in meaningful ways, grew from a community radio show focused on the voices of Australian poets. Now celebrating our 20th year, we’re exploring our audio archives - including commissioned poems from the first two years of the national Poetry Month and beyond.
We’ll be sharing daily 30in30 poetry commissions and writing prompts across August, plus a special series hosted by our Red Room producers including ‘Language, Place, and Sonic Forms’, with Nicole Smede, ‘Write a poem, plant a tree’ with Lorin Reid, ‘Poetic Lifelines’ with David Stavanger and ‘A Line in the Sand’ celebrating the publication of our 20 year anthology’ with Izzy Roberts-Orr.
Tune in to hear from poets, authors, spoken word artists, musicians, playwrights and more. Check out the full poetry month program online at redroompoetry.org/poetry-month
Line Break, a new podcast from Red Room Poetry, brought to you as part of Poetry Month in August, and presented in partnership with the Community Radio Network.
