The depth of research these women do is only outdone by the digestible manner in which they relay it to their audience. The amount of times I’ve been able to use talking points & arguments I developed from listening to them has to be nearing triple digits. I have Caro’s “closing argument” from the Trans Athletes episode saved to my notes for both a. Debate purposes b. When I need that “run through a brick wall” mentality…I’ll be shocked if we aren’t all wearing “Katie/Caro 2028” t shirts by midterms.

I subscribed and was really interested in this podcast at first but they lost me. These are two white well off women who have some communist fantasy and everything comes back to that point. They miss the nuisance in a lot of topics lately. They simply produce episodes to confirm ideas they already have. I think they should look into the arguments or have guests that can expand on topics bcuz this yes and is basically the same as the right wing podcasts.

This podcast reminds me so much of when Sarah Kendzior hosted her amazing podcast, Gaslit Nation but is also a bit different in that it’s from a younger perspective, it’s funnier but just as thoughtful and well sourced which is so appreciated. I don’t know a podcast like DL that’s doing everything they are — it’s the most interesting political and pop culture commentary from a female perspective but it’s never just one angle and it feels like you’re listening to 2 extremely intelligent people who don’t take themselves too seriously. I especially appreciate and highly recommend subscribing because the podcast space is so male dominated that Diabolical Lies is so refreshing and provides something that is not out there or if it is I haven’t heard it yet. I can’t remember specifically how I heard of the podcast, maybe it was a TikTok but I listened to my first episode and immediately went to listen to it again the next day it was that good and interesting. Can’t recommend DL enough!

As someone who loves a good podcast, DL has far exceeded my expectations and leveled up the game! Each topic is researched so well, informative, thought provoking yet there’s always relatable content and some humor, because we desperately need it! It usually takes me double the time to listen to one episode because I rewind, listen to segments again and take notes! Then share them with friends and family. The chemistry between Caro and Katie is chef’s kiss!

Hands down my favorite podcast, I listen to each episode multiple times so I can absorb it all. From someone who’s usually not a fan of conversational podcasts - Katie and Caro are the perfect power couple and their dynamic is magic. Incredibly well researched, thoughtful, informative, funny, empathetic. I’ve learned more from this show than my entire public education - thank you!

In the wake of the 2024 election I shared the citations, podcast episodes, and other links with my network and the response I received distrust and skepticism and was asked, “is this from a reliable source and researched?”. I replied: Yes. Done well and done Katie and Caro. Brava.

I was hoping for a different perspective on the MAHA movement, but there is no substance to this. It’s all over the place - it’s two anti-Trumpers who are basically saying why MAHA moms are bad but not MAHA itself. They’re crass, lack substance and actually say that health initiatives don’t focus on poor people but that removing Coca Cola from SNAP Benefits is punishment. They use making fun of people and foul language to try and be funny when really it’s gross and divisive.

Absolutely tickled by Katie and Caro interjecting in the sound bite at the end of the MAHA episode, asking for citations and specific examples in response to the amorphous MAHA fear-mongering. More of this when sharing political takes please—- loving the opportunity to support independent media that combats disinformation while making me lawl

Post Trump getting elected, I went on a social media detox. I was so thirsty though for just good conversation that kept me in the loop of politics with a side of gossip. I followed Caro on TikTok which led me to Substack and that is when I found this beautiful peice of work. Everyone is sick of me talking about this goddamn podcast but it has gotten me HUNGRY to fight against this system that feels hopeless at times. These ladies do the work!! The research, time, and care that go into these episodes, does not go unnoticed. Thank you for your service! We ride at dawn!

i was really worried that these ladies were going to be SWERFS, because that unfortunately seems to be the ideology that the majority of leftist feminists have, whether they know it or not. i was pleasantly surprised by their episode on lily phillips, and the discussion that they have surrounding sex work. it really does boil down to purity culture being so prevalent, and women being seen as sexless beings. amazing and thought-provoking listen!!

Listen, the podcast world is incredibly crowded. It is fraught with mediocre white bros who drone on endlessly with no research or useful information. I feel dumber after listening to them. This podcast is not that. It is two incredibly intelligent, articulate women who have not only done their research, but are so smart they can talk about a topical subject for what I can only pray will continue to be hours on end. It is insightful, sometimes infuriating, but always informative. I cannot express how much respect I have for these two incredible power houses. They are a beacon of light in these dark times. They are the resistance. I love them. There is no better way for me to spend my money these days than to be a subscriber and to continue to support the diabolical continuation of this masterpiece.

I can’t stop recommending this podcast to people. I think the tale of two algorithms episode was particularly eye-opening for me and my friends, but I chose to write a review after listening to the Lily Phillips episode. They reference You’re Wrong About during this ep and it did feel both inspired by/as good as the best of that podcast, with an extra layer of justified rage. I’m grateful to be listening!

Caro and Katie it seems I’ve grown quite fond of you tho there are no sexual urges or desires you come to me as long lost friends whom I once picked apples with in Karl Marx’s orchard (For real though love the pod, binged the back catalogue in like 2 weeks flat and I am hungry for more)

we’re in an era where people have realized that they can buy a mic and record every thought that pops into their head, so i’ve grown weary of the podcast genre for that reason. caro and katie put out episodes at a rate that strikes a balance between feeling super relevant to current topics and taking the time to be extremely well researched with citations, which is a lot of work. this spaces the episodes out to give you time to really digest the topic.

Honestly. This is an incredible listen. I love the dynamic between the hosts, it makes me laugh and gives a grounded, dynamic perspective on the insane times we currently live in. Definitely fierce and feminist. It was so worth the subscribe if you’re on the fence.

MKandA 2.0: the feminist Marxist revolutionaries who will be podcasting the revolution on a biweekly basis. every other week, my 2 besties (who I’ve never met and they have no idea who I am) get together and simultaneously soothe my anxious feminist soul whilst fueling my internal rage against the technofeudal patriarchal machine. imo, this is the only podcast there is. my ride or die. my true north. the best $80 I’ve ever spent, in fact, I’d pay ALOT more than $80 for the content, commentary, and community these women are producing and cultivating. 100/5 stars.

I listen to a lot of podcasts—a few political. Stumbled on this one via tik tok. Great, in depth conversations. Can’t believe the hosts haven’t known each other for forever. Serious content but I also laugh out loud at some of the language (most recently some analogy about hate sex 🤣. I look forward to more episodes!
