Adventures of Bulldog Drummond

19

The British Hero Bulldog Drummond is a fictional character created by H. C. McNeile, as the hard boiled no nonsense-style detective. The stories followed Captain Hugh "Bulldog" Drummond, D.S.O., M.C., a wealthy former WWI officer of the Loamshire Regiment, who, after the war, spends his new-found leisure time as a private detective.Drummond is a proto-James Bond figure and was a muscular man with a group of followers who helped him in his adventures. They rounded up crooks and took them to a place only they knew and reformed them. Drummond and his men, the "Black Gang", beat the be jabbers out of the men till they learned their lesson and renounced crime. Join us as we listen to the adventures of this British Detective.

    Modern readings?
At least some of these (e.g., “Bulldog Drummond 1 of 6” are just a modern reading by a single reader.

:] good to know these are still around
The whole point of listening to these is that its OLD TIME RADIO. its an old recording of the shows of course the quality is poor and you are gonna get the commercials.. it was part of the show then and they are part of our TV shows now. either put up or shut up and dont listen. its not about how good quality the audio is its about the show thats behind it is and about preserving something for years to come. i remember listening to these shows on casset tapes that we borrowed from my grandparents i was genuinly surprised to have found them :]

    Worth a listen
Yes some of the cop;ies they have are of poor quality but it is worth it to put up with the occasional glitch. If you love a good story listen to this one. It makes a great comapnion for comutes and for crafting.
