Your Recovery Voice Fills a Void
Thank you, Darren Littlejohn. I've been a "lurker" for years -- between your book and here online. Just wanted to express appreciation for your service. Your input is very refreshing. My path to recovery has gone through a non-theistic route -- between yours and Kevin Griffin's work, and through Y12SR (and similar) groups. My "funnel" hit sooner than mentioned... Still working way through it. Thanks again.

A second look at the 12 steps
I am a recovering addict who tried 12step programs in the beginning of my sobriety. I felt as though it wasn't for me. After listening to Darren's podcast, I began to realize that many of the fundamentals of Buddhism can be integrated into this recovery process. Furthermore, the message that Darren conveys has little nuggets of wisdom for anybody who faces struggles in their lives, not just addicts. Darren comes from the heart. You get a genuine sense that he truly care about anyone who listens. Thanks for your wisdom, Darren. You are truly doing the work of a Bodhisattva!!!

    Fascinating and Informative
This interview was very enlightening on how addictions effect the brain chemistry and how spiritual practices can help restore some of the damage created by those addictive behaviors. I highly reccomend everyone to listen this who wants more insight into why addicts of any kind constantly repeat self destructive behaviors. I truly belive as an addict it is vital for me to gain as much knowledge of my disease as possible so I can icrease my chances of freeing myself from the bondage of addiction.

College radio meets AA and Buddhism
The host, the author of a book called "The 12-Step Buddhist," is obviously well-meaning, and I have no reason to question his understanding of the 12 steps or Buddhism. But listening to the podcast is like listening to college radio -- the host rambles around and I find myself nodding off. I like the basic idea, but after listening to two episodes, I unsubscribed.

    Profoundly helpful!
After reading excerpts from the book, I just now listed to Episode 001 of the podcast. The 12 Step Buddhis is a fresh synthesis of 12-stepping and Buddhism that can be profoundly helpful to anyone struggling with addiction to anything--a substance, a set of bad habits, a person or any other object of attachment. I urge listeners to read the book, and readers to check out the podcast. Then put the 12 Step Buddhist tools into practice.
