Hooked on Hooked on Wooden Boats!
Been listening to episodes of HOWB back to back... to back... to back... Thanks, Dan, for a great podcast! The only thing I’m not looking forward to is being caught up and having to limit myself to one episode a week!

    Love this podcast!
Recently my wife gave birth to our first child, a wonderful little boy. I grew up sailing and now am just so excited to be able to take him out on the water in the future. It has been on my mind and l started searching for a podcast that equaled my passion for getting out on the water and about building boats. This is it! Dan has an amazing passion for wooden boats, and the world is a better place because he decided to share it. There are amazing stories of adventure, boat building, history, and so much more. What I love most is hearing the stories and passions of the people he interviews. Hope you are enjoying a much deserved break, Dan. Looking forward to future podcasts!

Excellent info and entertaining even if you’re not a Wooden Boat expert
I’m getting ready to move to Seattle soon, and this podcast has been an incredible resource for me because I don’t know how to sail (yet), but through the podcast I’ve been able to learn MUCH more about the SCAMP Sailboat and other helpful resources for starting my sailing journey! Glad you’re back, Dan!

Enjoyable and fun to listen to
I have just started listening to this podcast and I am finding it very enjoyable. It is well done.

    One of my favorites
I listen to many podcasts many for serious technical information in my area of study and others for basic entertainment. This one has been different from the others in the same way it would be to stop by a friends workshop on the way home after work to shoot the brease and have a beer. Maybe do a bit of sanding while I am there. The only thing this podcast lacks is the smell of wood chips.

    Excellent podcast
HOWB podcast is one of the best ways to immerse yourself in wooden boat culture. You will learn and laugh your way through the episodes.. And you will be pumped to build your first boat or another one to add to your fleet. Great variety of guests, and each episode is just as interesting as the previous. Great work Dan !!

    woodenboat podcast
This is a great podcast. I would really like to see (HEAR) more east coast interviews, perhaps with the wooden boat school staff in Brookline ME.

    Great podcast
Living far from the sea or any major water it is hard to find kindred spirits who love wooden boats. Your podcast keeps my enthusiasm up when it is most needed. Keep up the interesting topics and the great conversational style. Pete

    Outstanding podcast
From an entertainment perspective, if you have any interest in wooden boats, maritime professions, the Northwest, or boatbuilding, this is a fantastic series. Dan Mattson's passion for wooden boats is very obvious and makes this a great series. I am about 35 podcasts into it and I cannot wait to get into the car each morning to listen. From a professional perspective, I am a person looking to make a career change over the next 3-5 years and I am also very passionate about boat building. This podcast is a wealth of ideas for me in putting together a business plan. Hearing all of the maritime professionals account their lives and paths is incredibly helpful. HIGHLY recommended.

    HOWB
Thanks, Dan for great podcasts. I have now finished catching up with all the past podcasts and love your interviews with people, both familiar and new to me. I have been listening as I put a new bottom on a 26' plank on frame power boat. Now I plan to revisit some podcasts for reference - there is some good information in there!
