I was a long time listener of Around the NFL. The other members of the cast, that are no longer there, brought a lot of personality and great analysis. This show gives some analysis but really lacks depth and life. It’s a struggle to listen to.

I love the Sunday recap show. Greg was the best and most insightful of the original Heroes. But the daily content is hard to get excited about. 3 stars for great Sunday content and 1 extra star in hopes that the daily content gets better.

This show feels flat. Miss the original and no longer seek out every new podcast drop.

Such a shame

Gregg is fine, but more of a typical analyst. Dan is the funniest person in NFL media coverage, and Marc is the most unique. Follow them over to Heed the Call podcast.

This is the show. You better hope you like one of Gregg’s pet teams, otherwise just wait for the pithy comments that offer no insight or analysis.

Gregg R is a terrible podcast host. The other two hosts carried him in the ATN Era and he’s just fallen flat on his face. He knows nothing of football. I’m disappointed I wasted my time

Great football analysis, delivered with levity. Fairly easy to follow if you’re not a hardcore stat-head, though I wish they explained concepts more. If you’re unfamiliar with the host, an explanation of the negative reviews- Around the NFL was a show with a host that inspired a little cult of personality. That host got let go, and so all these weirdos feel they have to smite the show that replaced Around the NFL. You’re not going to get a ton of honesty out of them. So if you want some good faith criticisms of the show, here we go: Too many episodes. A daily format might have been fine if episodes were brief, but 45 minutes is about as short as they get, with many episodes pushing towards 90 minutes. It’s a lot to keep up with. But if you’re at a stage where you’re ravenously absorbing the sport, this show is serving you a lot better than most of the TV content out there.

Dan was the animated host of ATN and Gregg was good in small doses …Although he is good he doesn’t have the charisma to carry on this podcast and I hope he eventually joins Dan and Mark in Heed the Call later on if he ever gets let go from NFLN…

Yikes. Tough listen. Nothing new and not much of interest. Guests help…but only slightly😬

Gregg is a great analyst, but the entertainment value just isn’t there. I respect the guests but none of them are funny. I’m most disappointed because if Wes was still alive, we all know he would have moved to Heed the Call with Marc and Dan. Gregg has the tattoo but didn’t heed the call when it mattered.

Let me be clear. Gregg is supremely talented, and it seems he’s been given the task of carrying this new version of Around the NFL into the future or at least for the time being. We love Gregg. Anyone that’s listened to him long enough can really grasp that. But I have given this an honest listen. But it isn’t good. This is not good. What was the NFL thinking? I hope Gregg finds success. Keep working Gregg. This is not your fault. I’ll be listening to Heed the Call with Dan Hanzus and Marc Sessler. Wish this never happened.

I loved the heroes together. Hopefully there will be guest appearances. I think this and HTC are both great in their own right right

The guests are usually solid but the host has a really annoying voice and replies to everything with a different pitched “hmmm” sound. Try to unhear it, you can’t. The ads are also way too frequent and repetitive. Used to be a much better podcast

Gregg was a great co-host on ATN but it’s not working without Dan and Marc. Honestly so sad that this NFL season doesn’t have ATN.

The ideal 53 with 10 Rams players just can’t happen, can’t be published like that

I’m glad Gregg is still in the game, but NFL, why did you take the most popular NFL podcast and shutter it?

I like the concept of a daily podcast, but I can’t count how many times I have zoned out and stop paying attention. This show just has no juice, not even comparable to ATN.

I like the host, I like the guests as individuals, and it’s good information. But there’s some spirit missing, a lack of cohesiveness, a lack of fun

I’m personally insulted that you killed the best sports podcast in the middle of the night, told no one, then put this abomination in its place. Shame on you NFL. I’ve unfollowed to listen to Heed the Call exclusively. Thank God.

This isn’t it. This is fine but it’s not close to as good as ATN. No clue why they changed the show and got rid of two awesome hosts.

It’s hard to take a league podcast seriously when the host can’t get information right. Can’t get the name of long time 49ers insider Matt Maiocco right & also saying Jacob Cowing is undrafted when he’s actually a 4th round pick. There’s a reason certain people aren’t meant to be hosts of shows & I hope it’s realized soon. This podcast can’t disappear soon enough.

This podcasts falls flat on its face. NFL made a HUGE mistake in canceling ATN. I’m unfollowing and only listening to Heed the Call now! You blew it NFL!

I love this

Looooongtime ATN listener. I have been trying to give this new podcast a fair chance since ATN was stupidly broken up by the NFL. Gregg is doing a fine job bringing daily information to listeners, but often the content is like reading a website and lacks much of the entertainment value that ATN used to have. I’ve moved over to the Heed the Call podcast, though I plan to listen to this show on occasion for news, updates, etc.

Gregg is awesome but the show is frankly boring without Marc and Dan. The guests are just not cutting it. There’s nothing unique that draws me to the show like they had with ATN. Nick Shook and Rodrigue are really difficult to listen to and pretty limited in their league-wide knowledge. Beyond what Gregg has to say, the insights you get on NFL Daily are no more than what you read on X. Disappointing.

I love Gregg, but the magic of ATN that I have listened to for years isn’t there anymore. Heading over to Heed the Call, hopefully will see these three back together again in the near future

This use to be my favorite podcast. Since the NFL got rid of 2 of the heroes I tried to enjoy this version of the show; I really tried. Gregg has so much NFL knowledge but almost no personality or sense of fun. He needed Dan & Marc as much as they need him. I am simply not enjoying NFL Daily so sadly…I am out.

I think this is one of the best podcasts and ya they could’ve handled the firing better .I do miss them still but I think after like a few pods they started getting the hang of it inviting more guests.At first I was really sad and I hope they still come back someday but it’s still a great podcast and can stay one of the best podcasts they just need to bring the lost listeners and viewers back.Thank you for your work!

Greg Rosenthal, you abandoned Dan and Marc? Left them out to dry?? I thought you were better than that. You were the 3 amigos! You 3 guys were BRILLIANT! This...this is what we have left of a once great podcast now dissolved into mush? oh for shame...unsubcribed!

Apologies to Gregg, Jordan, Coleen and Patrick, but the NFL blew it. What those BOZOS (the NFL) don't know, is that they killed a show that meant SO much to so many people, that went WAY beyond football. Such a pity, and such a stupid, STUPID decision. And now I'm off to listen to the, "Heed the Call" podcast with Dan Hanzus and Marc Sessler! Ps- it should be obvious that I'm unfollowing this NFL sponsored show. Goodbye.

Sorry Gregg, the NFL media killed off Around the NFL, so I’m cancelling this show. I don’t blame you for keeping a job, but I can control what I endorse.

Longtime ATN fan, here. Really love this new podcast, I love having something every morning, and Gregg is just an original analyst. He's guided by his passion, and his holistic interest in football, and is very honest in communicating the nuances of what he sees and thinks about what's happening in the league. Such a joy for someone who wants thoughtful football discussion. Great guests, too!

Love Greg, love Colleen, love Patrick, the whole gang. 5 stars !! You got lucky, NFL.

I think Gregg is doing a good job, he was the best at straight football analysis from the former podcast. I think there is a little too much Rams talk, they are not a particularly interesting team nor do they have a national following.

It's like your favorite band broke up and the artists splintered into separate projects. As I've listened to both now I can definitely say Heed the Call is vastly superior and retains the vibes and feel of the old podcast. And now I spend time wondering what would have happened if Rosenthal had held out and stayed united with Dan and the other guy. Scab?

There are great and knowledgeable guests, the content is rich and on point, and Gregg is a great football “head”, but he is more of a second or third personality and not a good host, and as such, the format and shows aren’t great.

I’ve listened to every episode! Fantastic show with in depth analysis and great guests!

This used to be a great show filled with mirth, now it’s just another bland corporate podcast screaming into the void.

The last thing we needed was another typical football podcast. Gregg is solid, most of the time, and Shook is as well. But everyone else is more or less interchangeable with what you get on other major football shows. I don’t think this show will last, but I hope Gregg lands on his feet.

I am a brokenhearted ATN fan, but now I get two shows for the price of one…and now it’s everyday. Gregg is, by far, the most well read, listens to the most podcasts, and analyst of NFL content operating today. He does all that and then relays the information to his listeners so they don’t have to. Great guests that are well informed and entertaining.

Predictive and always on the right side of history. Jordan Rodrigue is a joy and brilliant mind.
