Best podcast ever!

I’ve listened to every episode; the older ones many times. Love the feeling of being a fly on the wall during the bscotch boys’ insightful, silly, and deep talks through their process. You’ll learn a bit about gamedev, some game design, a lot about running a game studio, and maybe even a little bit about yourself.

When they talk about running their business and industry news and stuff it’s really good. But there’s wayyyyy too much (> 50%) personal stories, politics, etc. If you like their sense of humor then it’s probably fine but as a game dev myself I’m coming here for insights and inspiration, so I’d prefer if they just stuck to that.

This podcast has changed my outlook on the world, gave me motivation, made me laugh soda through my nose, and made me a better person in general. I seriously love you guys, thank you!!!

Discovered this podcast a couple of weeks ago and it is amazing, genuine laugh out loud moments. I’m in the process of going through the entire backlog so that I can catch up on the entire story of Butterscotch Shenanigans!

Always entertaining to listen to the BS developers talk about the development of their games. Wether it's game development or eating a Ghost Pepper these guys will keep you entertained. The best part of the podcast is the Easter Eggs, where they drop in propaganda about over population, white privilege and why would anyone be interested in sports. I consider this the comedy part of the podcast. So in final, if you can look past their globalist views, you will throughly enjoy this podcast as I do.

This is one of my favorite podcasts. The Butterscotch Shenanigans folks do great work both in their games and their podcast. It’s also funny as hell. Occasionally there are swears on this podcast though, so cover your ears. After you put the earbuds in.

I thourouly enjoy this weekly podcast the Butterscotch brothers and team put on. Full of great game and just general interesting / weird knowledge bits. I've leared a bunch, laughed a lot, and look forward to it every week. Keep up the great work BS!

WARNING: This podcast is highly infectious. The trio breathe new life into development and creativity with their no-nonsense, positive pragmatism. I went in with very little motivation and no creative outlets, and quickly got into programming, game dev, writing, and digital art. Did I mention I don’t have a creative bone in my body, and that I’m just not good at expressing myself? Coffee with Butterscotch helped me become a happier person by cutting through that safety net of cynicism, and demonstrating that experiences can be innately rewarding and fun. Every episode is the start of a good day.

This podcast gives awesome insight into what it takes to make a successful video game, but it even goes beyond that. I would be willing to bet you learn at least one thing that can improve your everyday life as well.

I started listening when hype for Crashlands was building. Turns out the brother’s individual paths to game dev were inspiring. Found great guys with a great work ethic. I love this podcast. They should just charge for the podcast and give the games away for free. Its that good. Topics usualy range from Game Dev, Game news, The day to day challenges of operating a small company, self betterment and motovation. These topics are approached with their own brand of absurd humor. The result is both stimulating and hilarious.

A light-hearted broadcast of 3 brothers who are very intelligent and will massage your earholes with their humor. Whether you're on your way to work, sitting on the toilet, or are just generally bored, this podcast is a great way to get lost in the sauce. Who knows, you may even learn a thing or two about..."Stuff."

The BScotch brother always fill my ear holes with something that motivates and entertains me. Love their games and their personalities.

I've listened to every episode of CWB and have previously written a review about my experience. I am updating my review because this podcast has really found its stride and has become a staple in my weekly commute. I have bought the studios games, but rarely play them. I came to this podcast from the TouchArcade Show and have never left, watching as the ebb and flow dialed in to a consistent format and quality. Great podcast with a very intellectual slant that really jives with my perspective of life, your miles may vary. These guys are poised to become a major brand, and I think the podcast is a great initial medium.

Coffee with Butterscotch is both the funniest and smartest podcast I've listened to. The brothers share some serious knowledge in every single episode, without fail. If you have time, I'd recommend listening from around episode 40 or so, because they are all so good, but if you don't have the time for that just start joining them every week! No episode is a bad one.

I've been listening to the podcast since about episode 12, and I CANNOT STOP! It's too good. Informative, entertaining, hilarious, motivational, inspirational, sultry, and so much more. Even to my non-gamer friends, I can't recommend this highly enough. 10/10 butters, 7/7 scotches!

A very good podcast from a group of game dev brothers and the people who work for them. They are very open about all sorts of things, from the game dev process to just random thoughts. Also, they are pretty funny.

I haven't found any other podcast out there that is this entertaining while still delivering cool stuff to think about. You feel like you're sitting around with friends, cracking up, but then they're talking videogame development and whether you want to be a game developer or you're just really into videogames it's fascinating to listen to.

A great podcast for those interested in game development, staying motivated, and contemplating the inherent madness of the human mind.

I found out about Butterscotch Shenanigans a little over a year ago when I found out about their game Crashlands. Immediately fell in love with their games and their studio and wanted to find out more about them. This podcast falls right in the line with their humor and gives me something to look forward to every Wednesday. It’s absolutely hilarious and sometimes they have very good ideas on how to enhance your life, even if you don’t have any interest in game development. They suggested you could release the control your phone has over you by turning off as many notifications as you can deal with and I’ve got to say, I feel a little more free not having my phone demand my attention every single time Amazon is having a sale, a new Humble Bundle is released, or any other time something relevant but not incredibly time critical comes to my inbox. I highly recommend this podcasts, and if you haven’t checked out their games, I highly recommend those too!

I normally don't leave reviews... but I just started listening to these guys three episodes ago and I already learned about 10x as much about game development, and producitivity in general, than I have listening to hundreds of any other podcast. Highly recommend this.

I was initially directed to this cast from a TouchArcade recommendation and, being a huge fan of Crashlands, I immediately subscribed. However, after a few episodes, I was really happy to learn that this weekly pod is so much more than just an inside-look into a successful indie developer. Seth, Adam, and Sam are extremely intellegent people that offer a ton of great advice and insights about more than just running a game studio. They're informative, funny, and all-around a joy to listen to. Even if you're not a fan of their previous games or interested in game development, this podcast will certainly become one of your favorites. #virality #fivepoundgummybears

This is the best podcast out there! I listen to other podcasts but I get excited around noon on Wednesday when the next episode releases. These brothers talk about the game industry and their experience as they grow to fulfill their destiny. I am enjoying their journey every week as they inspire me and give me tips on how to be a better person, friend, and gamer.

I started playing Crashlands a while ago and somehow stumbled across this podcast months later. It quickly became one of my favorites and I went back and listened to all the episodes from the beginning. There's a nice balance of business, games, game dev, and life. I recommend this podcast if you appreciate gaming and are looking for something fun and informative.

This is the best podcast ever. Unless you don't like swears or adult words and adult topics like beer and mortgages. Seriously, these guys only occasionally lace real words into this thing. Spruce up your day with a little butterscotch in your coffee. I have been listening to this show all day every day for the last year and a half...(yes that means I have listened to it like five times). Keep up with the studio that made CRASHLANDS and hear about the stuff they're working on next. So listen to this comedy podcast and tell your mom (she's a nice lady), tell your enemy, tell Justin Bieber and tell Donald Trump because that is the only way to make this podcast go "viral".

Probably a little biased, considering I followed the studio to begin with, but I think this podcast can really be helpful to an audience with no investment in the games they make. The three brothers featured cover a range of topics often related to prioritization, time management, and general efficiency. However, they do this in a fun way, and tie it back to real world examples to drive the point home. Would recommend.

These three bros have inspired me to get back into game development. They are hilarious, inspirational, and informative. If you have ever played or wanted to make a video game, this is for you.

What dark magiks are they using to create such a magnificent podcast ?! Its got everything from stories about day to day life, to game dev news, to off topic ramblings about things like ice cream portals to lizard kingdoms! Coffee with butterscotch is one of the best podcasts around and without a doubt the true meaning of covfefe!

Listeners be warned, the Coster brothers passion and enthusiasm is highly contagious. Long exposure to the “Coffee with Butterscotch” podcast may result in the involuntary mimicry of Sam Coster's dulcet tones. Additionally, your speech will almost certainly be impaired by the occasional, but intentional, skewed pronunciation of common vocabulary -- nearly to the point of gibberish. But fear not, my friend, as this is the natural language of the true B-Scotcher -- who will suffer no difficulty whatsoever in deciphering your intended meaning. Others, however, may look askance and raise a concerned eyebrow. If you experience any or all of these symptoms, there is no need to panic. Take my advice -- keep the coffee flowing!

This podcast is funny, uplifting, informative and challenging. Often its preachy, which you might not like. Try it. You might like it.

I stumbled on this podcast after playing some of the games made by these devs. I decided to give their pod a go and was very entertained. I joined in around episode 80ish? and I still listen every week it comes out, and have been slowly going backward in time to listen to even more. I learn, I laugh, I have meaingful discussions with the people around me on the topics, and the BScotch community is welcoming if you happen to be open to dipping your toe into the discord (bit.ly/bsdiscord), but again... definitely not a cult.

Coffee with Butterscotch has the one thing that makes a great podcast: -the hosts humorously, intentionally mispronouncing the date at the beginning of each episode. Seriously, it's essential. Really though, the three hosts of this podcast have such a unique outlook on game design, video games, and life. It works on many levels for that alone. It's humorous, relatable, and interesting. This podcast receives my stamp of approval.

These 3 brothers are fantastic. I'm not in the game dev industry, but I am a dev and I have made a couple of small games for personal enjoyment. While this isn't a nuts-and-bolts podcast about game dev, it's an amazing conglomeration of dev, psychology, economics, statistics, and humor that leaves me sad that's only an hour long and excited for my Wednesday commute to listen to newest episode. Thanks guys and keep up the awesome work.
