sjsharksfan39Thank You For More ShowsLast year the show went on what felt like an extended hiatus. I think they only did 6 shows the entire year and I was confused why they cut back. Well, in 2020 it feels like the show got Rejuvinated, and I think Liam Smart being there is helping. I also loved the new series they started where they rewrite each season of the show featuring a prominant alien from the season. They've only done season 1, but I'm looking forward to seeing how this series develops. In Voyager's 25th anniversary, it feels like TTJ has come back with a vengeance. Keep up the great work all.

Aimes1Great job!At this time of listening, I am 114 episodes in. When I started I listened to a recent episode and I just had to start at the beginning. I have enjoyed listening to Tristan and Char and have really enjoyed their takes on a favorite show. I only wish I would’ve found this podcast sooner!

Captain NorekKale for BreakfastChakotay’s spirit animal is a snake according to the Star Trek Voyager book Pathways. We know that Tom Paris was knowledgeable about 20th century cars in The 37s, Season 2, Episode 1.

ElleoneiramDisappointingSo far, the earlier commentaries I’ve listened to have involved talking about almost everything but the episode, expect random criticisms—when the commenters haven’t been paying attention and seem to have no idea what’s going on. I prefer the later podcasters to the earliest. Still, most episodes talk about how “boring” episodes are when there are conversations about humanity and characters. And again, they don’t even remember the episodes or events. For self-proclaimed Star Trek nerds, they don’t seem familiar with the material or interested in going into in depth analysis. They sometimes don’t seem to understand different perspectives (dismissing certain legitimate complaints about character, for example, as “people needing something to nitpick”). I’ll listen to a few more later episodes to see how they are. But I’m not listening to anymore by the first hosts.

AnatiOne thing to fixI really like the concept, the topics and the substance. There is only one thing that makes me cringe. The two hosts don’t appear to actually like each other or to get along. I’ve heard passive aggressive jabs in every episode and it’s awkward to listen to. The hosts in the earlier, first episodes seemed to have a better vibe. I suggest that they sort it out off the show or find a new configuration of hosts.

CaptainJaneway246Thank you!Yes! Voyager! I agree that it was unappreciated a lot. I mean, come on! The first female captain! So thanks for reintroducing this awesome series!
-
deborahchayaVoyager RULES!!I love Voyager and just discovered this podcast. The hosts are fun, knowledgeable, and have great chemistry
-
KCTrekieFMLatelyLove the hosts, very cool, very nice peeps, but the shows have become a little too light-hearted for my taste. I would love to see more philosophical discussion and analysis. More meat please

Voyager the BestestVoyager: A Life ChangerI've been following this podcast since I discovered it in 2013 and I LOVE it! Per the last episode (and bon voyage to Kay, please don't go!) I want everyone who makes/creates To The Journey that you have perpetuated what I so love and depend on in my Voyager experience: a sense of family and self. Voyager has gotten me through some most difficult times as well, so please stay, you are the continuing Voyager mission :)

endlessfermatasA Delightful Show!Recently was introduced to Trek.fm (via the Edge) and TTJ is by far my favorite Trek.fm show. I've been furiously sprinting through the back catalog of episodes (in the mid 80's somewhere) and I never get tired of listening. Thanks, folks, for a fabulous listening experience!
-
JemScoutGreat podcast - and a wonderful crew to lead the way!I have been listening to TTJ for a few years now, and even through its cast overhaul, this podcast has brought great commentary and conversation episode after episode. Thanks - and keep it coming!
-
fdbt4594To the podcast! This podcast gets me thru work and my long commute home! Thanks for talking about my favorite Star Trek series!
-
lpMearaGreat podcast!I love this podcast. I'm almost through a rewatch of all 7 seasons of Voyager, and this has really added a lot to the experience. It's wonderful to listen to Kay, Zachary, and Suzanne talk about the deeper meanings of the show. There is always something that makes me laugh, and often something that makes me cry in their discussions. The three of them have a real love of Voyager, and bring so much to the discussions. I look forward to listening to the episodes I've missed!
-
Newbie2234Excellent AdditionThis podcast is excellent - between the content, the production quality, the hosts - great job.
-
ClayCMVoyager Forever!I highly enjoy your Star Trek Voyager podcast and the three poders have excellent chemistry together.

M&D LaptopMust Listen for TrekkiesThis podcast is amazing. I have a 4 hour commute per week, and all I do is listen to this podcast. Definitely worth a listen!
-
Mitch ATLMehThree people with no chemistry fake laughing like they are really cracking each other up They say things like: "I can just picture Janeway knitting on the bridge with her knitting needles" Hahahaha lololol hahahaha

doctorleo77Love itTrek is my coffee and trek.fm is the nebula! There is zero doubt in my mind
-
PhaserFodderIt's all about the chemistryVoyager wasn't my favorite flavor of Trek, but TTJ is helping me grow an appreciation of the characters and story elements. It's always amusing, sometimes informative and frequently LOL-funny. The trio of hosts do a great job sharing the space and keeping the conversation moving. I find myself looking forward to the new episode every week.
-
Paul IsaacsReg's cat Neelix would be honoredI love the show and can't wait for more! I like to hide my LG headphones that go around your neck on top of my head underneath a beanie at work just so I can listen. It kinda makes me look like Nefertiti but no one has said anything yet. 😜 Please give me more episodes Tristan! So far you haven't had an opinion that differs from mine. Besides the fact that Voyager was the first series that I watched and I was born in 84. A little late in the game lol.

JD2088"To the Journey!!!"This show is so much fun to listen to! Char and Tristan know their Voyager so well. Great fun voices too! I listen to the show in my car and now they're part of my car 'journey'. I love Voyager but sometimes in the busyness of life it's hard to sit down for an episode. Listening to this show I get to enjoy Voyager in so many different ways, every week: Episode commentary, episode rewrite, what ifs! My favourite was 'the essential voyager' list. 70% essential I believe. I wonder what new stories Char and Tristan would write to replace the episodes that wern't 'essential'? Thanks guys!
-
SoullldivaThe best and most fun of Trek!I've finally gotten up to date with TTJ and can't recommend this podcast enough. I found Voyager again in reruns (thanks Spike), and in a new unit of time found a fantastic Trek Universe that I really missed the first time around. Found trek.fm a couple of years ago, super glad I did. Tristan and Char have real chemistry as hosts and give you bite-size treats every week for your earholes :) I savor every time Char pulls out her Janeway impression ("Time's UP!"), and adore that Tristan is a man of science and a man of faith, as I am as well (except, I'm a woman). Here's to a bang-up podcast that is completely worth your time. Can't wait for the next one!
-
maryreneeeTTJ is my jam! This show makes my nerd heart so happy. I grew up watching TNG and Voyager with my family. I'm so happy that there are folks out there that love Trek as much as me! Thank you for your insights, commentaries and rewrites <3
-
Astral TouchVoyager Cross Country Ed.Thank you guys for keeping the road warm during a recent car trip from Southern California to my hometown in Iowa (I know this is VOY but not far from Riverside, IA!) and back. Just wanted to say I love the format! Commentaries are very entertaining, TNG Parallels/Re-Writes are super fun, and I appreciate the upbeat and honest analysis. Looking forward to tuning in on the regular. More Janeway impressions please :)
-
<artic_squirrel>The Voyager journey I've been waiting for!I've been listening for a few months, and TTJ is everything you could hope for in the perfect Voyager podcast. I love the top five marathons and my favorite episodes are the Voyager rewrites. Keep up the good work, Char and Tristan!
-
StartrekstarShout out to the Delta Quadrant!I have only just started listening, but I already love it. A great podcast about a wonderful Star Trek series. LLAP
-
JoethebioteacherJoethebioteacherAwesome show. I started listening a couple of months ago and have finally caught up. Tristan and Char are great hosts and cover their topics in great detail in an entertaining way! Just listened to the Time and Again episode and I love Tristan's idea, but I would add Janeway to the future reality and have Kes work with her and B'Lanna to stop the Voyager from using the technology in the past. Then, like in the original episode, Kes realizes that what she is doing to stop them is what causes the accident which maroons them in the first place. When she realizes this, she stops, but it turns out that the tech was too good to be true and doesn't do what it promises. The crew is saved and they move off into the sunset...hopefully after Kes and the prime Janeway have a heart to heart about the goings on :)
-
JeffrokiAbsolutely essential listening for me, every week!TTJ is the one podcast I have to listen to every week, even when I (often!) fall behind on the others in my list. As a lifelong Star Trek fan (with my last name being Kirk it's unavoidable) I particularly loved Voyager and the idea of getting home. Thank you both, Char and Tristan, for your creativity, humor, and seemingly limitless ideas for the show content.
-
Anya.allynAmazing hosts, amazing showI discovered this podcast about two weeks ago, halfway through my summer binge rewatch of Voyager. I've already listened to most of the 150+ episodes, which tells you something about how enjoyable this is to listen to. Tristen and Char have great on air chemistry, and also seem like the kind of fun nerdy people i think we could all use more of in our lives. It warms my heart to see them give so much love to voyager (which deserves way more love than it gets from many people) while still acknowledging that it did not capitalize on its full potential and discussing factors behind the scenes that went into making voyager the show it was.

JunelandWeird is Part of our JobHello fans and podcast window shoppers alike. This is an updated review I'd like to share about a most joyous journey that is a totally non-bogus trek through time... Wait. Wait. This is my bill and Ted Excellent Adventure podcast review... TTJ is my favorite podcast about my most favorite Star Trek show Voyager. The two hosts show a true love for Voyager that would make Captain Janeway proud. What is not to like about a lone starship stranded millions of miles away from home and a mixed crew of people from different planets sharing one ship? It's Homer's Odyssey meets Lost in Space but with no pokey robot and a way cooler ship. If that's not enough to wet your appetite then try dangerous Borg, Vidians, and even a sometimes annoying Talaxian. Aliens galore! Voyager is a ship with a hearty captain, a soul searching first officer and a bridge crew that have unique back stories and a harmony not seen much in other shows. Now it takes a special type of person or persons to enrich our lives by doing more than just a fly-by of this great trek through the stars. Tristan and Charlene live, breathe, and love Voyager. These two share a lot of opinions and knowledge of the episodes. What's good, what's bad, what they would change and what hits it just right. When my podcast player bleeps that a new episode is downloaded I know it's time to strap in and enjoy their wonderful voices of talk or even argue about the best sci-fi show there is. Please reader come along for the journey. Stay for the Talaxian Stew

GregBentley84Best Trek Podcast in the GalaxyChar and Tristan do an amazing job keeping the legacy of Voyager alive, This show was the first podcast I ever listened to and is still hands down the best I've heard. Every episode is better than the last and I look forward to every one. Thank you for all that you do and always remember, it's not the destination that matters... It's the Journey. To the Journey!! As a side note, Tristan's audiobook is a great listen and by coincidence I happened to listen to episode 19 right after where you hear the first seeds of the "Last" (Omega) character. Great stuff!
-
AngelaScrangelaMy favorite on Trek.fmI subscribe to about half a dozen of the Trek.fm shows, and this is my favorite. Voyager is the red-headed step-child of Star Trek, but that's probably why I love it. I've always had a thing for gingers. ;) Charlynn & Tristan seem to really enjoy Voyager, and they have a natural friendship that makes listening to each episode like geeky comfort food.

@GoVote4JeffAwesome Podcast with Awesome Hosts!I've been listening to #TTJ (TO THE JOURNEY!!) for about a year now, and look forward to each episode. I'm starting to work my way through the back catalog as well. Listening to Tristan and Char speak about their personal experiences with both first run (I was in my 30's, and they were children....) and rewatch episodes makes me think about my own personal experiences watching Voyager with my own daughter. It has also led me to appreciate episodes I dismissed as 'fluff' thanks to their pioneering 'essential Trek' podcasts (a format that has begun to appear in other Trek.fm series) and brings forward just how inclusive Voyager was. With the 'Iron Will' of the first caffeine fueled, female Starfleet Captain in a series (something we'd been given glimpses of in the earlier series and movies), to a mixed-race/species female Cheif Engineer (YEAH S.T.E.M. courses!), an Asian-American wunderkind Operations Officer and a Native American Executive Officer showed a future we in America have been striving for since the 1960's. The podcast touches on how forward thinking the series was, as well as the scientific innovations even in a fictious series (holograms, medical advancements, 'the photonic cannon', bio-neural circuitry) that will lead to advancements just as the communicator, tricorder, transporter and warp drive have led to the cell phone, MRI/UltraSound machines and experimentation in advanced engineering systems. It also delves into the ethical questions that any good morality play is based on. So, join with everyones favorite 'Lizard Babies' and listen in. Before you know it, you'll be shouting "To The Journey' just like the rest of us.

Nate_RamosFantastic PodcastI’ve been listening to TTJ for a while, Tristan and Char are fantastic. Voyager isn’t my favorite Trek (although I do love it), but because of Char and Tristian my love of Voyager has grown and I’ve become more active in the Star Trek community. Their chemistry as presenters is palpable, you get the sense they know each other and appreciate one another and it’s genuine. I can’t recommend this podcast enough!

Bruised EarThe only game in townThis seems to be the only all-Voyager podcast around, so it’s already good. The format is smart: not an episode recap but a themed overview, with lists of Voyager’s funniest moments, in-depth character studies, etc. BUT two of the three hosts, Char and Lorrie, have no idea how racist they often sound. Whenever they’re relentlessly bashing Harry (and don’t seem to grasp that the writers did a terrible job with his character) or reveal how they initially disliked the pairing of Tom and B’Elanna and prefer the Tom-and-Kes pairing, and then explicitly say they don’t know why, there’s a strong undercurrent of clearly unexamined prejudice. I’m sure they’re nice people, but sheesh. You’d think Trekkers would think about race more carefully. So this is a big downside. Whenever they start on either of these topics—and they certainly take every opportunity to bash Harry--I keep wincing. Tristan does his best to mitigate this, but what can you say when Char/Lorrie say the Tom-and-Harry friendship reminds her of Harold and Kumar, because Harry is so much like another Korean, Harold. It doesn’t help that they’re also such airheads. They speak in generalities like, “It’s good! It’s fun!” and when Tristan says something halfway smart or funny, my earbuds practically blast off with their simultaneous shouts of “YEAH! That’s right! YEAH!” The guy doesn’t have cohosts; he has a cheerleading squad. I’ll keep listening because there’s nothing else, and I like the format and I like Tristan, but … the Voyager crew deserves more exacting analysis.

HMPizzleA fun and light distractionI really enjoy this Voyager discussion. My favorite episodes are the rewrites and the lists. Keep it up!

Skeptic BearReally great, in depth stuff. A+++I am such a huge fan of TTJ. I listen to every new ep, and I am fortunate enough to still have a number of episodes to get through in the backlog. Great hosts. Knowledgable and accessible. Have to get this in here: Tuvok in a doorag makes me happier than anything else in the universe. Please mention me on the podcast! You can call me hoagiej or Neelix's gooch. Thank you so much for the program. Please please keep it up for as long as you can.
-
NoeldemStill loving itI just listened to your episode about Voyager in the JJ verse. It was great, except I was disappointed that you apparently hadn't thought of anything for Seska, who would surely add in trouble in any version of Voyager. (I kind of loved the part about Tuvok, he's my favorite Vulcan character by far.) Anyway, I really love listening to this show. Especially the ones where you write/re-write a script, those are some of my favorites. <3
-
sevansof9A well rounded discussionVoyager has been an important part of my life and something that has helped shaped me as an individual. I cannot believe I just found this podcast but I am so happy to see it. I am only on episode 30 and cannot get through it fast enough. Voyager is my sentimental favorite and I love hearing discussion acknowledging its successes while admitting its failures. Thank you for making this awesome podcast.
-
Red Rose Of TexasBest of Trek FMVoyager is not my favorite of the Star Trek series (4 of 6) but this podcast makes me wish it was. It isn't necessary to start at the beginning but I highly recommend listening to all of the past podcast episodes because there is a lot of good stuff in there. The episode rewrite podcasts are among the best earbud entertainment I have heard to date. Thanks Char and Tristan for many hours of entertaining nostalgia for the golden days of Trek.

richard cypherVoyager: Yay! Tsunkatse: Boo!I love this podcast! It's the best Voyager podcast around. Heck, it's the best Star Trek podcast around. I love it when they do episode commentaries. Except for the one on Tsunkatse. Not even these amazing hosts can make Tsunkatse watchable.

SynchroSk8I’m a lurker, not a …I am actually a long time listener (even really a lurker, I finally just recently joined the Trek.fm Facebook group!) I have been meaning to sit down on the computer that has iTunes and write a review. I swear, it’s been on my “to-do” list foooooooorevvvvvvver. I think you could re-watch all of the Trek series and movies and I still took longer to write this review. I love this podcast. Tristan and Charlynn do a fantastic job celebrating Voyager for all its greatness and even flaws. The episodes are perfect to help me get through a gym workout or a commute. This is by far one of my favorite Trek podcasts. Even if Voyager isn’t a favorite series of yours, make it a point to give “To The Journey” a listen.
-
OreoCookieCowKnowledgable and entertainingThe hosts do their research and I appreciate that. Most people come in half-cocked and it shows. This is different and you’ll notice it yourself. I listen to a lot of Trek.fm shows but this is by far my favorite.
-
RugCutter305Love itI’m not that big of a Voyager fan but I love this show. You can tell that Char and Tristan have been doing this a long time together. The way they play off of each other is funny and respectful. Take a listen no matter what kind of Star Trek fan you are.
-
obh3skadooFun Podcast for Star Trek FansMy favorite podcast on Trek.FM, I love to listen to Charlynn & Tristan wax eloquent on each week's topic, whether it's a character analysis, list of five favorite episodes from a season or a re-write of a so-so episode. Do yourself a favor and subscribe.
-
OMEGA SAM87Impressive!Enjoy the passion both Charlynne and Tristan proudly give to each episode, no matter the topic, they’ve got varied perspectives on so many aspects of Star Trek Voyager it is a pleasure to just sit back and listen. Well Done!
