Danielle BrunerA true mentor--no gatekeepingKyleigh peels back the curtain so that new and even long-time practicing doulas can grow their businesses. She offers practical strategies that you can implement right away! She's easy to follow and makes you feel like you can take action toward your goals! Since I found her two years ago, my life has changed so much from starting my business to moving to online offerings. Highly recommend!

KemperfiIt’s like she saved a seat for you in the cafeteria.Kyleigh will be your new bestie after any 3 episodes. Girlfriend is almost more excited to share all her tips than you’ll be to get ‘em and believe me … you’ll be like Ross jumping with Rachel & Phoebe getting the naked guys apartment! You’ll be asking yourself, “ How much free stuff can one friend give you?” Boatloads. It’s also easy to consume the massive library of info cuz my girl keeps it quick. It’s normal to have 15-20 min episodes. I’m a 1.5x speed listener and love it. Not a giant time commitment but I tell ya you’ll find some you’ll go back and do the work along side her more often than not. She’s giving gold baby! So have a great time getting to know your new birthing bestie Kyleigh. Tell her EmilieAn says Haaay.

Ronica @transitionsbirthInvaluable contentThe Birthworker Podcast is full of clear, practical, and actionable information that I can use to build my Doula business. The information is always fresh, and helpful. I have listened to a number doula of type podcasts in the past and they are mostly all filled with the same basic information, and they can get very repetitive. That is not the case here. This is the kind of content that Kyleigh gives out for free, I can't wait to join her membership and see all the great things she has in there.
-

LeahSandowI needed to hear this todayI binged a few episodes today and they are all what I needed to hear. I may re-listen a second time to hype myself up more. Newly trained, not yet certified, doula who also has an application in for midwifery school brewing. Feeling all the feelings of a newbie and this has helped so much! Excited to continue listening to gather more wisdom and insight.
-

-

-
Doula TabsWhat I needed to hearI’ve been binging the Birthworker Podcast. It felt like episode 29 was speaking to me directly. I’ve been a trained doula for years but felt I failed at business because I didn’t want to be on call. I struggled big time with the business side of things. Thank you for showing me I can still doula but not be on call and inspiring me to finally relaunch!
-
Leslie MendezLOVEThis podcast has helped me be a more confident doula! Kyleigh is so knowledgeable, I love learning through her and the business aspect of the career.

After listening to this podcast for almost a year now I signed up for her Birthworker community group. I love what Kyliegh has created!

I found your podcast when I was looking for resources to help with imposter syndrome as a new doula and every episode is like finding a treasure chest! You are one of my go to podcasts now and I'm am binge listening to everything you have to share ❤️
-
doula amber sincredibly relatable and helpful!I’m always excited when a new episode comes out because I can’t wait to see what topics will be covered. This podcast has been so incredibly helpful as I’ve been working to get my business off the ground and running successfully. She always knows what questions are running through my head, answers them directly and clearly, while helping to clear the doubts I feel as a new birth worker. It’s really nice to know that so many other women go through the same questions and processes I find myself in. I also appreciate that she’s not a “one size fits all” kind of informational source - she offers multiple methods for different aspects of working as a doula. So glad I found this show/account!
-
NickieebNot inclusiveMaternal medicine, especially for Black women, is a very vulnerable experience and most rely heavily on the support of Doulas and birth workers. Its disheartening to learn about the adverse views this creator has towards the BIPOC community. This leaves room for interpretation on how services are offered.

@ReallyJenny1Just NOInitially, I thought I’d discovered a neat little podcast. She got as far as, “If you FEEL like an imposter, it’s because you ARE one.” This is the exact polar opposite of what anyone with a shred of psychological understanding says. Doulas are valuable, we are well trained, we have invested in ourselves since our first class towards certification, we are professional birth workers because we have been educated in the field. When I became a teacher, I never thought during my first year in the classroom “gee, I’m such a poser because I am a poser…” I felt confident and capable. I didn’t ask for less money than the teacher across the hall. But we’re supposed to think of birth work as any different? This woman and her “philosophy” are why doulas start out working for free, or for utterly low ball fees; they listen to their inner self-doubt, and then run into someone like this. Perhaps her other episodes aren’t anything like the one I just heard. Perhaps not. I won’t be sticking around to find out. There are countless podcasts that build us up, rather than tearing us down. She comes across as someone with a bloated sense of self-entitlement.
-
sdutta622kyleigh banks is racist.not surprisingly, the owner of this podcast is a racist white women unable to have accountability conversations and instead silencing and firing people who say things that require her to self-reflect. birthwork has no place for people who cannot self reflect and hold themselves accountable to their systemic biases and racist ideology. howcan you not support the liberation of oppressed and occupied people and then claim the authority to speak on something as liberatory as birth?
-
LilBit SmithLove this podcast!I recently started classes with CBI to become a certified Doula, I’m so glad I found this podcast, I listen to it every day, all day while in my car delivering orders for work!
-
Someone with actual brainsWisdom amidst chaosThe wise woman makes decisions and doesn’t need to defend herself. The immature ones need to shout the loudest trigger words and be validated. You will see who is who in these reviews. Kyleighs podcast and community are safe and wonderful places.
-
Birth WorkerHarmful racismThis person will not take accountability for racist harm towards BIPOC birth workers, including silencing people for speaking out about Palestine and kicking people out of her groups for disagreeing with her.
-
DZCW22Birthworker business at the expense of othersThis podcaster runs a business that silences the voices of Black and Brown people. They refuse to see how this business model is actually hurting others.

VintageMelaninQueen❕❕Black, Brown, and Indigenous Birthworkers BEWARE ❕❕Update 1/21/24: ❕❕Black, Brown, and Indigenous Birthworkers BEWARE ❕❕ Every episode is an ad/funnel for the Birthworker Community and Kyleigh’s other paid offers. For $75 a month, Kyleigh markets a community where you get round-the-clock feedback from successful, supportive, like-minded birthworkers. Most of the people in the community are great, but there has been a recent divide orchestrated by the other side of Kyleigh that you won’t meet on this podcast and that many of her students didn’t know existed. Kyleigh preaches that people should stand in their truth, share their experiences, and have radical responsibility. She built her brand on autonomy (@theautonomymommy) and promoted informed consent. It is in that spirit of autonomy and informed consent that I share with you the real Kyleigh Banks that most of you have had the pleasure of not meeting. I hope that with my review, many of you will never have to see this side of her and that BIPOC birthworkers (and those who fiercely believe in inclusion, equity, diversity, and justice) can steer clear of the inevitable harm that Kyleigh will cause. Recently, I refused to keep quiet about the unjust firing of one of her employees for making a post supporting a free Palestine. Despite her being a birthworker, I never expected Kyleigh to post about the genocide in the Gaza Strip. She has shared publicly and privately that she is Israeli, and she’s shared on this podcast about her family's travels to the stolen land. She proudly dons a Jewish Agency for Israel sweater in some of her training videos. For context, the group was established in 1929 as the operative branch of the World Zionist Organization. There are just some people who you know are not going to call for a ceasefire. 😩. When other BIPOC community members and I explained how Kyleigh firing the mindset coach for posting about a free Palestine was problematic, she was dismissive. When we told Kyleigh it made us feel uneasy and like we were not welcome in the Birthworker Community she didn’t seem to care. Kyleigh was dismissive of our concerns and censored ours and other community members’ voices. She maintains that because the post made an unnamed number of members in our community feel unsafe, the coach had to be removed. Truthfully, I do not believe that there were any current students or community members who brought up these concerns. What is more plausible? Two former students who commented on the coach’s private Instagram post and are friends of Kyleigh‘s, shared their disdain for the post, using language that shared views heavily aligned with Zionist ideology. My sincerest belief is that Kyleigh was displeased that one of her employees was speaking out against the genocide that her beloved country was responsible for. In a triggered space, she fired her employee. Ultimately, sharing our truth and experiences with the other side of Kyleigh lead to three BIPOC members being forcibly removed from the paid community. I am one of them. Interestingly enough, there were white birthworkers who acted as our accomplices standing against the injustice. Kyleigh did not remove them from the community. I am thankful for each of them, AND their existence in the community only further speaks to Kyleigh‘s values or lack thereof. The other side of Kyleigh is a self-righteous narcissist who is emotionally abusive, lacks integrity, lacks accountability, has poor communication skills, ineffectively listens, ineffectively manages conflict, and insights a culture of divisiveness in her community. Instead of focusing on building a reparative space where healing can happen, she has dug her heels into being corporate, confrontational, unwilling to collaborate, and lacking compassion, ESPECIALLY for the BIPOC community that she is so happy to take money from. If the genocide in Gaza has taught us anything, it is that Zionism is the most dangerous form of racism. I will not outwardly call Kyleigh racist for her treatment of me and other Black, Brown, and Indigenous birthworkers in her community. I will not outwardly call Kyleigh racist for identifying as a proud Israeli who wears her Zionist gear with pride. I will not outwardly call Kyleigh racist for cowering away from topics about the injustice in Gaza under the guise of centering “nuance.” Instead, I will ask you, “What do Kyleigh’s recent actions, and maybe those that you were too afraid to call out before, say about who she is and what she stands for? Once you find your answer, ask yourself, “How many more people should be subjected to her harm?” #FreePalestine

jazzyranibirthwork is liberation work, this podcast & org misses the markRating one star in solidarity with Black and brown birthworkers who have been kicked out of this community for supporting each other and Palestine.

HuehuexochitlBIPOC COMMUNITY BEWAREEach episode is an advertisement/funnel for her paid subscription membership/offerings. Kyleigh advocates that her student’s & membership community to stand in their truth & share their experiences yet she does not stand by this message when it is put to the test. Kyleigh has forcefully removed BIPOC members out of her community when advocating for a former mindset coach she fired after this coach shared her thoughts for a permanent ceasefire / apologizing for staying silent during the genocide on Palestinians in Gaza. Kyleigh has publicly and privately stated she is an Israeli citizen and even shared on this podcast her & her families experience traveling to the stolen indigenous land. She proudly wore a “Jewish agency for Israel” sweatshirt during one of her training videos. For context the Jewish Agency was established in 1929 as the operative branch for the World Zionist Organization. She had also removed the module on anti-racism from her training program that was created specifically for that training program by an indigenous Mexican birth worker. When being called in for her pro Zionist & racist behavior she not only threatened those speaking out but has continued to ignore these call ins and blocks those choosing to use their voice & speak their experience. This is a dangerous space for the BIPOC community & a dangerous woman to be seeking birthing support from if you are BIPOC and/or pro- Palestinian/anti Zionist.

ACG103OppressiveYou claim to be for women but fire birth workers who speak out about Palestine? No thank you!
-
b.1oveCEO is racist. She’s also known to kick you out for your beliefs without giving a refund. Do not spend your money here.
-
thtgirlshemaTotally unacceptableYou need to refund @vintagemelaninqueen for her two months of membership that she paid to be apart of the birth worker community that you have kicked her out of. Thanks
-
ag_hlvBirthworkers Be WaryEspecially bipoc birthworkers. Not a space that is for everyone or emotionally safe as some would put it. Be careful where your life energy and money goes.
-
PumpkinsarecooSilencing Black & Brown VoicesUnfortunately this podcaster is silencing Black and Brown birth workers in their community who are speaking out against the current genocide in Palestine.

Em_1821_72Business Changing Mind BlowingAs a new doula I was already struggling to start my business. Once I got pregnant myself, I wasn’t sure how I could even structure my business let alone be on call. Now with a one year old, I needed resources to get my out of the business rut. This is exactly what I have been missing! Birthworker Podcast offers a fresh perspective to the birth worker world on how to create a passion fueled business that serves your clients AND the lifestyle you want. LiftEverything28Obsessed is an understatement!I’ve taken every single program Kyleigh has created and I must say she over delivers every time! I am a doula and mom of 4 so my time can be spread thin at times. This podcast on top of her programs, helps me with trying to be organized in my business without feeling overwhelmed! If you are struggling with the business side of things or want some ways to not be on call 24/7/365 then you need this woman’s wisdom! I’ve connected with doulas in my area that have been doulas way longer than me and they are shocked by how much I know in business and as a doula being “only” 2 years in. I recommend Kyleigh and her podcast to all my doula friends. Thanks Kyleigh you are the GOAT!!! 😘

RmdaleyExactly the push I needed to get started!Ever since my world was completely rocked about my first was born almost 5 years ago, I have been dreaming of a way to turn my newfound passion for supporting other moms through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum but have have always felt like birthwork as a new mom (and now a mom to 3!) would even be possible during this season of life. However, with each new baby came and even fiercer passion. With all the rabbit holes I’ve dug into to birth world, I cannot believe I am only now just discovering this gem of a podcast! I am so excited to see where it leads and how I can FINALLY follow my passion for birthwork in a way that also allows me to keep my family my top priority, but emotionally and financially. Thank you Kyleigh!
