It’s been almost a year I’ve been listening poker related podcasts. I tried many, and in the end I conclude that Sky’s podcast is truly the winner from my perspective. Before discovering Sky’s podcast, my favorite was Redchip Poker, which lately turned into memoirs based interview sessions. Sky’s podcast is a very well designed, comes with professional quality sound mix and absolutely best quality learning content. He is cheerful, attentive and caring. I’ve contacted him with some questions and he sent me pretty detailed answers with some tips that really help a lot. I genuienly admire his enthusiasm and totally recommend this podcast to anyone who really want to improve his poker skills.

This podcast covers a range of topics for improving your game and Sky is an entertaining host. I listen during workouts or while cleaning out the garage or doing dishes. I just wish I had more time and discipline to apply everything Sky talks about to my game. It's also a good warm up listen to a session.

I have been listening to a lot of poker podcasts recently and this is by far the best. The sound quality is very good which for some reasons a lot of poker podcasts struggle with. I like that it is not really heavy in "meta game" strategy because most of us do not play at a level where that is a factor. Sky gives very good advice on how to improve your game and also provides a lot of resources for you to try to use on your own. Most of the improvement I have seen at the table has been really simple stuff, like knowing when C-bet and when to float the flop on a raiser. It's good to hear a podcast that hits the sweet spot of not being too simplistic but not talking about concepts that are for world class players only. Keep it up sky and please read my question when I send it in!

Only discovered Sky a few weeks ago just downloaded the whole archive! These casts don't age because they are on point & focused. Very professional format that plays like an audio book. This is not a radio show; this is legit coursework! Outstanding!

Sky Matsuhashi is the mentality/life/poker coach I never knew I needed. As a mediocre winner at the microstakes, I had led a highly unfocused attempt at plugging leaks, only to open up gaping holes in my mental game and willpower to embrace the grind. Sky gives clear, concise, and effective advise in how to manage your thought processes and grow as an individual. I am just now starting my journey through this podcast, and am still a few months behind but I have to force myself to stop myself from listening too much so I can stop and properly absorb everything that is being taught. This is advice for those who want to work at learning the game. It is for those who want to learn to learn. Sometimes I want to ignore the short television show recaps and the music quotes but that is relish for some and curds for others. But as far as advice on learning how to learn Sky is thoughtful, honest, helpful, and self-reflecting. This podcast and SplitSuits "Red Chip Poker" podcast are the two podcasts I always listen to twice. The first time at the gym and the second time at my desk with notebook in hand. Thank you Sky! I’ve played poker years ago, often, and quite poorly. I have a newfound interest in learning about the game. Sky does a great job with this podcast. He has a teaching background and it shows. He is clear, foreshadows information in each episode, he recaps it, and he gives you homework/next-steps. This is primarily a learning podcast, and secondarily a tips/tricks/strategy podcast. If you want to know 3 tricks at a surface level, this isn’t the show for you. That said, I love it for it’s methodology. Rather than spoon feeding you, he explains the WHY. He tells you how to best utilize your study/homework time.

This show is great! As a poker player I have learned tips and strategies that I had yet to be exposed to. Very entertaining and relevant for the niche of ‘the aspiring poker fanatic!"

Informative, insightful, and entertaining. Nearly all other poker podcasts I've tried are terribly boring, have awful sound quality, and are so full of irrelevant fluff that I can't stand another minute. This podcast, however, is quite the opposite. In a very entertaining manner, Sky gives relevant, useful information that you can directly apply to your game to be better than you were yesterday. You will learn so many highly valuable skills that will save you money! Keep it up Sky!

Sky has a great podcast on his hands, first of all, his voice is so lively and engaging, the episodes never lose steam. And now, let’s talk about the information on here, wow, every episode goes straight to the good stuff, not beating around the bush. Sky delivers on his offers. I loved that he gives you challenges to get you started on application of the strategies, and the short anecdotes make the techniques stick. Don’t sit at a table without brushing up with this podcast first!

This is a great poker podcast. Sky has tons of passion for the game; he knows it inside and out and it comes through in this show. But listening to this show makes me sad that I can’t play poker that often anymore! The next time I do play, I will use Sky’s tips!

Sky has launched a really good poker advice podcast. I’ve listened to two episodes and I’m hooked. The reason I love poker is the process of learning and growing. Sky will be a part of my regular poker education.
